Mind-boggling, thought provoking, intriguing, interesting, funny, deep, whatever you say, facts are always great in capturing attention or putting a smile on somebody's face. And in our busy lives, where things pass unnoticed, random funny or interesting info or facts can come off as a pleasant remedy, that you didn't know you needed.
So here are the most interesting facts that are, in some ways, obvious but then again, are unsettling, baffling or confusing. Overall, they would make you think deep and would definitely make your day!
1. The oldest picture of yourself is... in fact, the youngest picture of yourself.... and vice versa.
That is just clever wordplay. The word “oldest” here represents time, while “youngest” represents the youngest version of yourself.
2. Small Intestine is actually larger than Large Intestine.
The small intestine is larger than most organs in terms of area. While it is narrower than the large intestine, it is significantly longer, measured around 22 feet. It is three and a half times the length of an average human body and is present inside us in a coiled and compact manner.
3. Stars don't really Twinkle, and Diamonds don't Shine.
The layer of atmosphere causes refraction of starlight, so they appear as twinkling to us. Diamonds have a high refractive index, which causes multiple total internal reflections of light, hence the shine. So simply stated, stars refract, and diamonds reflect.
4. There's a very high chance that you remember Newton's 3rd Law, but forgot the 2nd Law.
Every action has an equal an opposite reaction. Incredibly simple and easy to remember! So unless you're a physics graduate, you will most probably remember the third law and forget the first two.
And survey says that most people forget the 2nd law quite often. So let's check on something interesting about it.
5. Ball, Bike, Car, Bullet, Coconut. It's not their Speed or Velocity that hurts you..... it's their Momentum.

While the speed does hurt you, the mass of the object is also responsible. What we oftenly forget is that it is the product of both mass and velocity/speed that is the real culprit. Momentum is what actually causes injuries, accidents or deaths.
The rate of change in momentum is equal to the force applied. And that is Newton's 2nd law.
6. Night time is the natural state of the universe. Daytime is just a temporary state caused by a nearby, radiating flame ball.
The universe is originally dark in colour. Daytime is caused when the Earth faces towards the Sun. When sunlight enters the atmosphere, it gets scattered. Blue having low wavelength scatters the most, giving sky the blue colour.
7. Moonlight is actually Sunlight.
The Moon doesn't have its own light. It actually reflects the light of the Sun during night time. So moonlight is just reflected sunlight.
8. Every time you are looking at the Stars, the Sun, the Moon, or the Sky, you are actually looking at the past.

That past could be 8 minutes before or sometimes it could be a million years ago. And the star light that reached you today started its journey before the birth of some of your ancestors.
9. We can udnretsnad any mesesd up setncene as lnog as the lsat and frsit leterts of wdros are in crrcoet plaecs. Suhc as tihs stnecene.
That is simply how our brain works. Human psychology.

11. We use tables to keep food off the floor, tablecloths to keep food off the table, placemats to keep food off the tablecloth, and plates to keep food off the placemats.
This just doesn't need an explanation, does it?
12. Technically, you have never watched a movie completely, because you are constantly blinking.
An average human blinks once in every 6 seconds. So we blink around 1200 times while watching a usual 2-hour film.
13. Every “c” in Pacific Ocean is pronounced differently.
The first “c” is pronounced as “sss”, while the second sounds like “kk”. The “c” in ocean sounds like “shh”.
14. You know every phone number in the world. You just don't know which number belongs to whom.
Every phone number that exists in the world is just a random combination of numbers from 0 to 9. That means we know every phone number ever since we learnt the numbers.
15. Every mirror you ever buy at the store would already be used.
The makers, the store owners, the previous customers have all used your mirror before you.via WallpaperAccess
